China and Switzerland Co-host Railway Planning Workshop to Create Sustainable Technological and Urban Development(November 28th, 2008 – Beijing, China) - Today, a workshop titled “Railway Planning, Design and Operation” was launched at the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT). Over 50 Chinese and Swiss scientists, researchers and practitioners in the area of railway transport exchanged their views on ways to improve the efficiency in modern railway operations, shared their experience and technologies in railway transport and discussed the implementation and development prospect of advanced Swiss railway technologies in China.
