Calendar Module Print E-mail
Beispiel KalenderIt is possible to use a single standard day type to develop and evaluate timetables at the conceptual level, however, as the date of timetable introduction draws near, planners must define the timetable in greater detail.
Furthermore, at the operational planning level a day-specific timetable is needed to optimally respond to short term changes such as added or cancelled trains.

Viriato’s calendar module allows timetable planners to assign date-specific validity to all trains in an interval-train family, individual trains in an interval-train family and/or single trains.

It allows timetable planners to use all types of validity possibilities, for example weekdays or weekends, and to define specific days when service is operated or not.

For example the definitions are possible for public holidays (Easter, bank holidays, etc.), no service periods (e.g. school holidays, interruptions for renewal works) and reduced validity periods within the timetable period.

Functionality

  • Display and analyze operations for any calendar date in graphic timetable, customer timetable, station track occupancy plan and Arrival/Departure table;
  • Accurately calculate performance figures based on calendar-based schedule (e.g. train kilometers, departures from a station);
  • Use Viriato’s perpetual calendar to define holidays that change dates every year (e.g. Easter).

Display/Output

  • Use calendar view to easily define operating/non-operating days (mouse click days);
  • Automatically generate validity descriptions for footnotes in schedules.
