While the graphic timetable represents operations on the network level, the service timetable describes operation of a particular train. It provides the engine driver with all the temporal and spatial information needed to operate the train including: station arrival/departure times, and safety-relevant information such as crossings and over-takings.
Virato’s Service Timetable module allows timetable planners to automate the production of service timetables. It makes Virato a complete system for the production of all types of railway operational timetable documents.
Functionality
- Define service timetables for selected segments and lines;
- Identify crossings and over-takings based on operating day and validity, and the line segment’s safety equipment (with/without block);
- Develop service timetables using Swiss operating regulations (FDR).
Display/Output
- Viriato provides an interface with MS Excel to printout Service Timetables.
