After 10 years Hans Ruedi Rihs leaves SMA and becomes head of the public transport division of the canton of Aargau from April 1st 2010.
In his decade with SMA, Hans Ruedi Rihs contributed with great passion and expertise to an attractive public transport service, mainly within projects in Switzerland and the neighboring countries.
SMA believes that high speed, intercity and commuter passenger rail has a great future in the United States. 2010 will be a key year in securing the position of rail in the U.S.
Deutsche Bahn’s long distance passenger network is being continuously extended. As part of the German Transport Infrastructure Masterplan many links will either be improved or added to the existing network in years to come. These adaptions will reduce travel time and therefore dramatically change long distance timetables.
