Leadership change at SMA und Partner AG
Twenty-five years after the foundation of SMA und Partner AG, Werner Stohler (72) is now handing over his shares in the company to a group of long-standing employees following a management buyout. This increases the number of partners at the firm from three to eleven. The change does not affect the independence and neutrality of the company in any way, and clients and partner companies are assured a high degree of continuity.
At the beginning of 2013, Eric Cosandey took over as CEO responsible for operational management in addition to his existing role as Head of the Planning Division. Dr Thomas Bickel, Head of the IT Division, remains a member of the management board. Werner Stohler will continue to serve as a consultant.
With the succession completed successfully, partners and employees can look into the future with optimism. SMA's strategy, corporate culture and values will remain unchanged, and the company will continue to offer top-class services related to the planning and operation of railway systems, including the required IT systems.
